Summary:
1. You can still pay $10 for ski trip after break.
2. Get money for ski passes/rentals for when we're back.
3. BRING A SLEEPING BAG.
4. Look at the packing list.

1. If you haven't paid the $10 and still want to go on ski trip, *you
can still give your money to any staff member* when we get back from
break. If you're still debating if you want to go on the trip, almost
all of Burbank will be there, and it will definitely be one of THE best
memories of freshman year.

2. Also, think about how many days you want to ski (if any at all).
We'll be collecting money soon after we're back, so you should get money
or a check made out to Burbank these last few days of break.

*3. BRING A SLEEPING BAG*. There aren't many beds in the house we're
staying in, so almost everyone will be sleeping on the ground (sardine
style). It'll be real cozy, so sleeping bags are definitely recommended.

4. Here's the rest of the recommended packing list:

_Skiers, Snowboarders, and Tubers_:
- Avoid wool/cotton clothing - FLEECE is best!
- Sunglasses or goggles
- Snowpants
- Water-resistant jacket
- Sunscreen

_EVERYONE_:
- Towel
- Sleeping bag or comforter
- Hat, gloves
- Boots or tennis shoes
- Warm clothes (LAYERS!)
- Swimsuit (our lodging will most likely have a hot tub)
- Extra socks
- Chapstick
- Lotion
- SUID and Driver's license
- Health insurance card
- Playing cards, board games, DVDs... stuff to do on the bus ride or in
the lodge

See you all in 1 week!

Hey Burbank,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone's enjoying this last week of break.

If you need another unit for classes this year, then think about taking
CS2C. I'll be teaching it again in Burbank this quarter with the time
still to be determined. It will probably be some weekday at around 7:30
pm. It will be another 1 unit class, pass/fail.

You do NOT need to have taken CS1C for this class, and the topics we'll
go over will be completely different. This quarter we'll do multimedia
things like learning how to use Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, etc.

Here's the description Axess gives:
"Sound, image and video editing, and publishing media. Applications
include: Audacity, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Powerpoint. One-hour
lecture/demonstration in dormitory clusters prepared and administered
weekly by the Resident Computer Coordinator (RCC). Final project. Not a
programming course."

To add the course, search for "2C" under "CS Computer Science". The
instructor will show up as Ly, Jennifer, but don't worry about that
because she's just the head of RCC's. If you've got any questions, feel
free to e-mail me back.
